1. Selection of materials: Waterproof junction box products are mainly used in the field of work and open air where the environment is relatively harsh.The impact resistance, static load strength, insulation performance, non-toxicity, aging resistance, corrosion resistance and flame retardant performance of the material should be considered when considering the product safety performance.
2. Structural design: the overall strength, appearance, easy processing, easy installation and recyclable reuse of the waterproof junction box should be considered.At present, the waterproof junction box products produced by international mainstream manufacturers do not contain any gold accessories, which can simplify the product recycling process.But now most of the domestic manufacturers choose different materials with poor waxy resistance. Generally, brass inserts are installed in the socket of the waterproof junction box to increase the installation strength, which will increase the time and cost of the material recovery process.
3. The wall thickness:Generally, when considering the overall cost of the product in the design of the product, the wall thickness of the product should be reduced as far as possible to meet the impact resistance and waxed resistance of the product. In the design of the international waterproof junction box, the wall thickness of the product made of ABS and PC materials is generally between 2.5 and 3.5, and the glass fiber reinforced polyester is generally between 5 and 6.5.The wall thickness of die-cast aluminum products is generally between 2.5 and 6.The wall thickness of the material shall be designed to meet the installation requirements of most components and accessories.
4. Selection of sealing apron materials: for waterproof junction box products, commonly used sealing apron materials include PUR, EPDM, Neoprene and SILICON.When choosing the sealing apron, the temperature range, tension resistance, expansion rate, hardness, density, compression rate and chemical resistance should be considered.
