Damage To Components Caused By High Temperature In Distribution Box

The high temperature in the distribution box damages the components, the hot summer and the heat wave. With the increasing temperature, the upper limit of the ambient temperature of the electrical equipment distribution box designed and manufactured according to the national standard when it is running should not exceed 40℃, and the operation distribution box is exposed to the hot sun in midsummer.Due to the direct sunlight, the heat reflection of the cement floor and the heat generated by the equipment in the box itself, sometimes the temperature in the box actually exceeds 60℃, and the temperature in the distribution box is too high to harm the components.

Such a high temperature distribution box is easy to cause electrical coil, lead insulation aging and breakdown burn out;The electrical contact increases the contact resistance due to the high temperature, and the increase of the contact resistance intensifies the heating, so that the vicious circle eventually leads to the contact burning out;At the same time, too high temperature will affect the stability of electrical protection performance, reliability of action, accuracy of measurement.

Based on the above situation, the suggestions are as follows:

(1) should be selected as far as possible on both sides of the shutters, the middle of the distribution box is not completely separated, in order to form air convection heat dissipation;

(2) the box body as far as possible use of natural stainless steel, is not easy to rust and thermal reflection, such as regular spray coating with thermal insulation performance to reduce thermal radiation, the effect is more ideal;

(3) in addition to ensure ventilation, the box should try to avoid the midday sun, the ground to non-sand type is appropriate;

(4) Avoid overload operation of equipment in high temperature season, and reduce the heat released by equipment in the box as much as possible.
