Types of junction boxes currently on the market:
The first category: traditional. Structural features: a shell with an opening on the back, with electrical terminals (sliders) in the shell to electrically connect each busbar of the power output end of the solar cell template with each input end (distribution hole) of the corresponding electrical terminal. The hole on one side of the casing extends into the casing and is electrically connected to the output terminal hole on the other side of the electrical terminal. Advantages: Clamping connection, quick operation and convenient maintenance.
Disadvantages: Due to the existence of electrical terminals, the junction box is bulky and has poor heat dissipation. Cable holes in the housing will reduce the waterproof performance of the product. Line contact connection, the conductive area is small, and the connection is not reliable enough.
The second category: small seal with glue. Advantages: Due to the thin metal terminal soldering method, the volume is small, and it has better heat dissipation and stability. Due to the glue-filled sealing, it has better waterproof and dustproof performance. Provide a more flexible connection scheme, according to different needs can be used in two ways of sealing and non-sealing. Disadvantages: Once there is a problem after sealing, maintenance is inconvenient.
The third category: special type for glass curtain wall. Advantages: Because it is used for low-power photovoltaic panels, the box body is made more compact and exquisite, and it will not affect the indoor lighting and beauty. It is also a sealing design with good thermal conductivity, stability and waterproof and dustproof performance.
Disadvantage: Due to the method of soldering connection, the cable wires extend into the box through the outlet holes on both sides, and it is extremely inconvenient to solder to the metal terminals in the narrow and long box.
