ABS junction box electrical plastic box
Also known as ABS electrical box. ABS (acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene) is a hard, rigid, easy to configure low-cost plastic. It is very similar to PLC and has many advantages and disadvantages compared to materials such as metal and glass fiber.
The biggest difference between PVC and ABS junction box electrical plastic box:
ABS can withstand colder temperatures and have slightly higher impact resistance
PVC is slightly cheaper and has slightly higher uv resistance
ABS has similar chemical resistance to PVC. ABS, like PVC, is a non-conductive material. So the ABS junction box does not need to be grounded.
